The Reception children have done exceptionally well with their start to Reception, and have delighted us by coming into school full of enthusiasm. We have been busy settling into our new classrooms – getting to know the adults, and making new friends.
We have enjoyed exploring the indoor and outdoor areas, whether it’s been building dens and towers with construction, or creating patterns and models with geo-magnets.
Over the next few weeks, we will focus on the children’s Personal, Social and Emotional Development and well-being. The children will be supported to learn new routines, and work on developing their confidence and relationships in their new class. They will be encouraged to share and take turns, listen carefully to both adults and friends, make good choices and develop their independence.
