This week in Science, our Tear 4 scientists have been hard at work investigating the effectiveness of different toothbrushes. Our class transformed into a research lab, where the children planned and carried out an experiment to explore how the hardness of toothbrushes affects their cleaning ability.
We used three types of toothbrushes—soft, medium, and hard—and tested how well each one cleaned plaque from the teeth. The children timed how long it took to clean the teeth with each brush, recording their findings carefully.
It was an exciting opportunity for our them to think like real scientists, using inquiry, observation, and teamwork to answer a practical question. We’re proud of their efforts in investigating which toothbrush might be the best choice for keeping teeth clean and healthy!
