This afternoon we did two activities: giant swing and survivor. On giant swing we were lifted high in the air and let go to swing! The children faced their fears and despite some initial reservations everyone wanted to go again.
In survivor we had to built shelters out of tarpaulin and string. The children had to work as a team to design a shelter that fit the whole team and kit it out with useful accessories. They got stuck in and created a diverse range of shelters!
We also visited the gift shop and collected some sticks for our campfire this evening. Can’t wait!

We had an action packed morning swapping between raft building and vertical challenge. In raft building, the children had to work as a team to build a raft and then paddle it around the lake! Several children capsized and gallantly braved the cold waters to push the raft back in to shore.
The vertical challenge involved various obstacles to navigate as the children climbed higher and higher. Everyone overcame their own personal boundaries. Well done so far Year 6!
