Designing a healthy wrap (y2)

Year 2 have been learning all about balanced diets and the importance of eating a range of food types. In DT lessons, they practised key food preparation skills, including chopping, grating, snipping, and spreading ingredients safely.

The children explored different combinations of proteins, fruits, vegetables, and dairy, learning to create balanced, nutritious meals. Using this knowledge, they designed and made their own healthy wraps based on a design brief. Afterwards, they evaluated their wraps, considering taste, texture, and appearance.

This fun DT project helped build essential food skills while promoting healthy eating!
