Year 3 had a really interesting lesson yesterday which started with a video on spaghetti trees! Yes, you heard that right! Some children who watched the famous BBC April Fool’s prank really believed that spaghetti grows on trees – luckily, other pupils were savvy and reminded us that we can’t always believe everything we watch online. Later on, we looked at the difference between facts, beliefs and opinions and took part in some activities to practise recognising when something might be misleading us. In the age of AI, it’s more important than ever to be able to spot ‘fake news’…
