Exploring autumn (nursery)

This week in Nursery, we’ve been getting creative with an exciting Autumnal Leaf Printing activity! With autumn leaves all around us, we headed outside to explore and gather a beautiful collection for our artwork.

The children loved searching for different leaves, noticing their shapes, textures, and colours. Tabi shared her excitement, saying, “I collected the leaves. I found them in the grass, where the wind was blowing. I found them in the forest!” Back inside, we dipped the leaves in paint and carefully pressed them onto paper, watching as their shapes and patterns magically appeared. Lawrence explained, “I pressed it with my hand—the leaf. I pressed it on the paper.”

This activity brought nature into our art and let us capture autumn’s beauty on paper. The children had so much fun experimenting with colours and seeing their creations come to life. What a wonderful way to celebrate the season! 🍁
