In Year 4, we’ve been having a lot of fun exploring the wonders of the rainforest through fabric art! We learned a fun technique called batik, where we use wax or glue and dye to create beautiful patterns on fabric.
To start, we researched the rainforest and discovered all the amazing plants and animals that call it home. We were inspired by the bright colours, textures, and shapes we saw in our research.
Each of us designed our own unique piece of artwork, drawing inspiration from the rainforest. We experimented with applying wax to fabric and then added vibrant dyes to bring our designs to life. The results were fantastic! It was a wonderful way to express our creativity while learning about the beauty of nature. We had so much fun creating our rainforest-inspired masterpieces!
