Year 3 have had such a fantastic time finishing off our Prehistoric art project!
We began by making our own paint using natural pigments from spices and herbs, just like Stone Age people did. Next, we created our very own ‘cave walls’ by adding texture with lentils, sunflower seeds, and couscous to pieces of card. We finished off our cave walls with some grey paint, and they looked really authentic! Finally, we painted British animals we’ve seen out in the wild onto our ‘cave walls,’ mimicking the cave art we’ve studied. What a brilliant way to bring history to life!
