This week in Year 5, Jen’s class engaged in a fun and interactive Quiz Quiz Trade activity to revise the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) in our Maths lesson. Using Kagan strategies, we paired up, asked each other questions related to the operations, and then swapped cards with our partner after each round. If our partner got stuck, we used rally-coaching to explain how to work out the question so that when we swapped, our partner was able to explain the question to the next person!
This co-operative game encouraged peer learning and boosted our confidence using the four operations, as we were able to work together and reinforce our understanding of mathematical concepts. We can’t wait to play Quiz Quiz Trade in other subjects!
