In year 1, our art unit this term is called Colour Splash! and we’re diving into the exciting world of painting and exploring different ways to use colours.
In our second lesson, we created vibrant numbers paintings with a fun twist — we could only use primary colours! It was a challenge not to mix them, especially since we had experimented with blending primary colours to make secondary ones in our previous lesson.
We had a fantastic time expressing our unique styles and practising how to hold the paintbrush in different ways to achieve various effects. It’s been a colourful and creative start to the term, and we can’t wait to see where our Colour Splash! journey takes us next!
