Year 2 have been using lots of Kagan strategies to support our learning. One of our favourites was Quiz, Quiz, Trade, where we quizzed each other on our Talk for Writing text, Pirate Tom.
In Maths and English, we used Team, Pair, Solo to help with our learning. This strategy was really useful in Maths last week as we tackled subtraction. In English, we used it to improve our sentences by adding adjectives and powerful verbs—you can see us in action below!
In History, we explored Spend a Quid to decide who was most to blame for the Great Fire of London spreading so quickly. After a team vote, most of us thought the fault lay with either Thomas Farriner, the baker, or the Lord Mayor of London, who didn’t act quickly enough to stop the fire.
It’s been a fantastic week of teamwork and discussion in Year 2!
