Let’s give a round of applause to all our families for their kind donations of pennies and small change to our Money Jar. Our School council took the pennies to the local Morrisons store to exchange them for cash. This money will now be sent directly to The Woodland Trust to help them in their mission to protect and restore our precious forests.
We’re so proud of our children for their dedication and commitment to this important cause.
Members of the council wrote a report:
Today, Michael Faraday School Councillors donated money to a charity involved in saving trees. First, we went to the office to collect Alex and Natalie. Then, we walked to Morrisons. We went straight to the coin machine and took turns pouring the coins in. Sometimes the coins got stuck, but luckily Natalie helped. The coin machine gave us a receipt. We took the receipt to the front till, there lady there was really kind and gave us advice. The we confidently led Alex and Natalie back to school.
