This week in our Art topic, Colour Splash, Year 1 explored colour mixing with a focus on creating different shades of green.
Using just blue and yellow paint, with a tiny bit of black to darken, we experimented with blending colours to see how many shades of green we could make. We started by drawing around our hands and then carefully mixed our paints to fill them with a variety of beautiful greens.
The results were fantastic—so many different shades! It was amazing to see how small changes in the mix could create such a wide range of tones. A wonderful experiment in colour! 🎨💚
