In Year 1, our computing topic this half term is all about Digital Literacy—learning how to use computing programs and devices with confidence!
This week, we took our learning outdoors for a fun and creative photography activity. Using our toy animals, we set up different scenarios and worked in our Kagan talk partners to take photos, helping and supporting each other along the way.
Back in the classroom, we explored photo editing techniques to enhance our images. Some of us adjusted the brightness and colour, others cropped their photos to improve composition, and some even drew directly onto their pictures, adding new details or personalising them with their names.
We used iPads for this activity, but if you have a tablet or similar device at home, why not give it a go? Experiment with taking and editing photos—you might discover a new creative skill!
