Over the last half term, Year 4 children have been learning all about The Romans. They have been lucky enough to have a cooking class with Tracey involving making traditional bread and having a Roman style shared breakfast. This week they then had the famous Roman Day visit to Michael Faraday. The children had made costumes including Roman armour and weapons so were prepared for Mike’s arrival on Tuesday.
Our children experienced artefact handling, Roman games, quizzes, looking at artwork, learning Latin, handling weapons and armour and even participating in a Roman battle drill and Boudicca’s big battle.
What a great way to celebrate our history topic!
