This week in maths, we have been learning how to share amounts equally into 4 groups. The children used practical objects to explore this concept in a hands-on way. They worked to physically divide items into four equal groups, helping them develop a strong understanding of sharing and early division.
Some children took their learning even further by writing division number sentences to match their practical work. It was wonderful to see their growing confidence and use of mathematical language like “share,” “equal groups,” and “divide.”
