Year 3 had a fantastic, creative art week! We made our own ‘papyrus’, using brown paper and PVA glue, laying the strips vertically and horizontally in a technique similar to what the Ancient Egyptians would have used. (Although we know that really they used the papyrus plant!) The children then painted their own Ancient Egyptian inspired designs on to their papyrus, using natural colours and geometric patterns inspired by art we’ve studied in our history lessons.
