Year 2 are learning about units of measure in Maths. We started with metres and centimetres. To help us get a feel for how long a metre is, we threw beanbags outside then measured their distance using trundle wheels. We learned how to convert between metres and centimetres. Finally, back in the classroom, we were able to compare amounts of distance using the greater than, less than and equal to symbols. We had lots of fun!
