Key Stage One recently enjoyed an exciting celebration of the United Kingdom, with each classroom transformed into one of the four nations: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
In England, children experienced a traditional afternoon tea, complete with sandwiches, biscuits and (pretend!) tea while practising their best manners. Scotland offered crafts inspired by Highland cows, with music and fun facts about Scottish culture.
In Northern Ireland, children explored traditional instruments and rhythms, while in Wales they made colourful daffodils — the national flower — and learned about Welsh symbols.
It was a day full of creativity, culture and fun — all without leaving the school!
