The Year 4 children have been learning all about volcanoes, how and why they erupt, as well as the important role they play in shaping our planet.
In this lesson, the children worked together to jot down key facts about volcanoes, before labelling the different parts in their diagrams. There was lots of fantastic discussion as they pieced together their knowledge and built a clear picture.
Next week in English, Year 4 will be drawing on everything they have learnt in geography to help them create their own warning stories based around volcanoes.
