The year 1 children have been on a very exciting trip to the Southwark Heritage Centre!
We learnt lots of fascinating facts about the borough we live in. One of our favourite activities was looking at pictures of Walworth Road from over 100 years ago and then comparing them to what it looks like today – it was amazing to see how much it has changed!
We also discovered that when the Shard was being built, a 2,000-year-old mosaic was found. We couldn’t believe it – something so old right here in Southwark! It was incredible to see.
