Showdown! remembering the river unicorn (Y3)

This week, Year 3 enjoyed using the Kagan Showdown strategy to recall and discuss their learning from the class text, The River Unicorn.

Working collaboratively in small groups, pupils first recorded their individual answers before sharing and agreeing on a team response. This approach encouraged active participation, critical thinking and effective teamwork.

The children demonstrated excellent cooperation and a strong understanding of the story — a fantastic example of learning together through discussion and collaboration.
