In Computing, Year 3 have been learning about what happens inside a laptop. Pupils explored the key components that make a computer work, including the CPU, memory, storage and input/output devices.
To bring their learning to life, they built their own paper computers to model how these parts work together. Through this activity, pupils were able to recognise a laptop’s inputs and outputs, recall that it is made up of many parts and explain the purpose of some of them.
The children were fascinated to discover how each component plays a role in helping a computer follow instructions and process information.
