Let’s keep reading!

Well done to all the amazing children at Michael Faraday Primary School who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge 2025!

In the Summer Term, Charmaine from Walworth Library came to visit. Charmaine is a familiar member of our school community- the children see her when they visit Walworth Library, and she often comes into school to read to the nursery classes. The school was buzzing after her assembly, where she announced the Summer Reading Challenge. Every child who signed up had the chance to win a prize, and anyone who read at least six books over the summer earned a certificate.

This week, Charmaine returned to present certificates to all the children who visited the library and completed the challenge. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and enthusiasm. Even more excitingly, our school won the trophy for having the highest number of participants!

We are so proud of our children for embracing reading and making it such a big part of their summer -let’s keep the love of reading going all year round!
