In year one we have been learning how to read, write and solve addition using counters. Once we mastered this, we moved on to working on number lines, we are practicing finding the highest number in our number sentence and then counting on from the smaller number. We worked in teams of four to help us remember all our learning steps. We have also been adding numbers to a 100 square in our classroom to ensure we are confident when counting on from any number.
Counting to 100 regularly at home will help to improve this skill, so keep counting!
