In History, Year 4 have been learning about the Roman Empire and exploring the reasons why it was so successful. The pupils discovered how organisation, strong leadership, well-trained armies and impressive roads helped the Romans to expand and control their empire.
As part of their learning, the children also practised following instructions carefully, just like Roman soldiers would have done. This helped them to understand the importance of discipline and teamwork in Roman times.
