Year 2’s are learning about Mary Seacole and her amazing achievements.
Mary came to visit us and told us the story of her life. We joined in with singing, acting and listening as she shared her adventures.
We learned how Mary travelled to many different places around the world and how she helped people who were sick. She was especially brave when she went to help soldiers during the Crimean War.
It was great fun and really helped bring our History topic to life. Year 2 loved learning about Mary Seacole and her kindness, courage and determination to help others.
