Culture Day at Michael Faraday is a great way to showcase our wonderfully diverse community and this year we did it in style!
From Nigeria to Albania, the Uk to Singapore, from Algeria to South America; we represented different nations from across the world and celebrated our differences.
Children enjoyed a range of activities with their classmates, such as flag making and show and tell.
Whilst we had donations of food from parents; we were also lucky enough to have some parents donate their time to share experiences of their own culture. A special thanks to the lovely parents that shared an Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, stories from the Amazon and dancing from Kenya with us.
The feeling of community and inclusion that we create on Culture Day is special and allows children to proudly share their identities at school; we hope they carry these memories with them and feel confident and seen every day at Michael Faraday School!
