Year 6 enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe as part of our Writing topic on Romeo and Juliet. The children were thrilled to step inside the famous theatre and imagine what it would have been like to watch one of William Shakespeare’s plays over 400 years ago.
During our tour, we explored the Globe’s unique structure and learned about its history. We were also lucky enough to watch part of a rehearsal for Romeo and Juliet, which brought the scenes we will study to life.
The highlight was an energetic workshop led by one of the Globe’s actors. Year 6 performed two powerful scenes and impressed everyone with their drama and emotion. It was a fantastic experience that will inspire our writing and deepen our understanding of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy. 🎭
