We are very proud of our Year 6 children and the way they conducted themselves throughout SATs week. They have worked very hard in preparation for their Reading, SPAG and Maths assessments, showing determination and resilience every single day. Most importantly, we could clearly see that every child tried their very best – and that is all we ever ask of them.
Although SATs may now be finished, the learning certainly is not over. We still have lots of exciting learning ahead of us this term, but the coming weeks also give us more opportunities to enjoy the creative side of the curriculum, with plenty of memorable experiences still to come.
To celebrate the end of a busy and successful week, the children enjoyed a well-deserved post-SATs treat today. The children had a fantastic time at Burgess Park, where they enjoyed playing football and spending quality time together outdoors in the sunshine. Back at school, the celebrations continued with a relaxing film afternoon complete with biscuits, popcorn and ice lollies – a special reward to recognise all of their hard work!
