This week Year 3 were learning about how the Ancient Egyptians prepared their rulers for burial. Once we talked about the steps needed to mummify a person, they got hands on and tried it out themselves. Unfortunately as we had no human volunteers they had to make do with tomatoes! The tomatoes have been hollowed out, filled with a salt mixture, bandaged and sealed with amulets and symbols. In two weeks we should have some fully mummified and dried out toms.
