This term, Year 1 have been learning how to sew simple stitches to create a beautiful animal bunting display.
We began by exploring different types of materials and fabrics. We practised our stitching skills carefully and learned how to use sewing equipment safely. Once we felt confident, we designed our own animal and planned the colours and materials we wanted to use.
Using our designs as a guide, we stitched our animals onto fabric using a variety of colourful threads. We worked hard to make neat stitches and showed great concentration throughout the project. We also remembered the importance of staying safe while sewing.
The finished bunting looks fantastic, and we are very proud of what we have achieved. Well done, Year 1!
