On a beautiful hot spring day, Year 2 enjoyed an exciting trip to the Wildlife Centre in Dulwich for a gardening and nature-learning adventure. The children learned all about habitats, animals, flowers, and mini beasts that live both in and out of the water. They became nature detectives during mini beast hunts, searching carefully for creatures in different habitats.
One of the highlights of the day was pond dipping. The children were thrilled to discover tadpoles, leeches, and newts living beneath the water’s surface. They loved observing these fascinating creatures and learning more about how they survive in their habitats.
During the busy day of exploring and learning, the children also had lots of fun playing together at the nearby playground on Goose Green and made lots of wonderful memories!
