This half term, Reception have thoroughly enjoyed our Eco Superheroes: Habitats and the Environment topic. We have learnt about a variety of minibeasts and discovered the important role they play in keeping our environment healthy.
A highlight of the term was our visit to the Wildlife Garden Centre, where we explored different habitats through a range of hands-on activities. We enjoyed pond dipping and found creatures such as newts, tadpoles, leeches and pond skaters. We also took part in bush bashing, a minibeast hunt and woodland learning, where we observed snails and learnt fascinating facts about how they live.
Through these exciting experiences, we have developed a greater appreciation for the natural world and a deeper understanding of how we can help protect habitats and the creatures that live within them. We are proud to be true Eco Superheroes!
