Year 3 have been bringing Sandy Cove to life through drama. We focused on the mysterious cave scene, using our voices, expressions and movements to show how the characters might have felt as they explored. Working together to retell the story helped us imagine the setting and get into character.
From moving like the characters in our story, we turned to finding out how our own bodies move in science. In our Movement and Nutrition unit, we have been learning how our skeleton supports us and how our bones work together to help us move.
This week, we worked in teams on a carousel of activities, measuring different bones and comparing their lengths. We used rulers carefully, recorded our results and shared ideas to help make our measurements as accurate as possible. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged in both their storytelling and their science learning!
